School Delivery

'Agan bys yw agan stevel glass!' Our world is our classroom!

The Golden Tree team is awash with trained teachers and educational practitioners.

Working across nursery, primary and secondary years, we produce and deliver educational experiences, resources and CPD (continuing professional development) that align with the (ever-changing) National Curriculum and make Cornish heritage and language enjoyable for all.

Over the years, we have developed and delivered a huge body of educational resources for schools and community groups across Cornwall:

  • Cornish Language – stories, games, Go Cornish for Primary Schools, CPD and videos
  • The Man Engine – Cornish Mining
  • Kerdroya – Cornish Hedges and our Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty
  • Brave Tales – Developing Literacy Through Storytelling
  • Home and Dry – flood resilience for Cornish communities
  • Plen An Gwari – rediscovering Cornish medieval theatre
  • The Great Trees of Cornwall – Gwyth Meur a Gernow

Testimonials

“Just to say how much our pupils have enjoyed working on this amazing Cornish hedge project. Thank you very much – events like this add real diversity and value to our curriculum!”
– Ms Talbot, Grade-Ruan School

“The programme delivered to teachers on the ‘Tales from Porth’ resources was a really useful, practical set of sessions from which activities could be directly used in class. The resources are great help to teachers and staff with any level of Cornish language knowledge. They play a key role in introducing children to the language, whilst giving them knowledge of local history and their Cornish heritage. Perhaps most importantly – the children love it!”
– Mr Stephens, Coads Green Primary School
